To understand how the invisible element can be detected using spectral cameras, it's helpful to understand that photons of light bounce off ever molecule in a different pattern.

Sometimes the wavelength of light is in the visible spectral range and it is visible. Light in the infrared range (known as the IR) is not visible but can be detected with spectral cameras.

View how a multi-spectral camera can take one image and by using light, the image is divided into 10 different channels so it can be further analyzed.
